We will install voice systems into businesses to enable savings and give a good return on investment.  These solutions will offer a complete package of frontline systems and back office support including. Call-logging, Billing, Calling Card provision or account dialling.  We will offer traditional solutions including legacy PBX but will predominately focus upon the newer VoIP technologies and their available solutions with the integration of VPN and Data Network enhancements.

All networks need a mixture of these three technologies.  Connections to the Internet are governed by WAN technologies whereas all intra-office communications are served by LAN. Both can take advantage of wireless connectivity but Ridge will concentrate on LAN wireless only.  All form of data equipment will be within the remit and expertise of Ridge Networking and include wired and wireless routers, switches, repeaters and concentrators.

When installing complex, interconnected networks it is not always appropriate for the home company to support and maintain the installation.  Ridge Networking will offer competitive maintenance and technical packages with different support levels available to suit the home company.

LAN and WAN technologies all require some form of cabling to enable interconnections of equipment.  The appropriate cabling is predominately dependent upon the distance between interconnected equipment with copper cabling (either CAT5e or CAT6) being used up to 100m.  Over this distance requires the use of fibre (either multimode or singlemode).  The other factor for determining the type of cabling is the bandwidth required between equipment.  Ridge Networking is entirely comfortable with any and all combinations and can provide solutions that best fit the customer’s requirements.

Internet telephony enables tele-working via a VPN installation.  VPN extends the corporate network into other locations such as the users home or hotel room.  This enables a person to work from the remote location using his work telephone extension number and computer applications

To coin a cliché, the world of IT is always moving and developing. In most environments it seems that no sooner has a project been delivered the incumbent staff must then be experts in the support of that installation.  Ridge Networking understands the reasons but does not support the practicalities of this.  As such we will build, customise and/or deliver training packages to train staff in the support of these systems.  Additionally, instead of extracting these valuable staff to remote training venues, we will always give the option of coming to you where these key staff can be accessed if required.

Training

The management of projects is crucial to the success of the originating initiative.  To this end Ridge Networking will project manage any IT project using a methodology based upon PRINCE2 and Critical Path Management (CPM).  If a project includes one or more of our technology skills then Ridge Networking can manage it.
